Summary: In this graphic novel, we learn about the boy, Arthur, who pulls the sword from the stone, travels with the wizard Merlin, and trains in Avalon in order to become king, build Camelot, and fight Morgana and Mordred.
Personal Reaction: I liked this version of Arthur's life. It glosses quickly over Uther Pendragon's pack with the Unseelie court (Winter/Night fae) in order to gain Ingraine as a wife. It shows Arthur growing up with Ector and Cei, his pulling the sword out to protect them, then training in the Seelie court (Spring/Day fae). It shows the tragic love stories of Arthur and Vivianne, the lady of the lake, as well as that of Lancelot and Guinevere. It also tells the stories of some of the fae and knights - though not much. The art is well done with different spread being drawing on a background of dominating color such as purple, red, orange, or blue backgrounds.
